Sweet Love
I assassinate every ounce of brightness that graces my life for I often think
that they are nothing but shams;
sweet for a little and then turns bitter and burning to the tongue.
I drowned myself daily in every toxin and poison I know,
As I sat upon the highest step observing the way
The rain mimicked my hands by running down every inch of your body
I sent infinite curses to the sky for allowing such a heinous act.
Though red with the rage of a thousand suns,
My Mother
You are not just a human being
Made of blood and bones,
You are a woman who the universe grows within.
You have been ripped apart and built from dust over and over again,
