How did it come to this
And where is your love
My hurt you dismiss
As I cling to God above.

A fool I am, so you say
A fool in love with you!
Rewind, go back to that first day
Before my heart was tattered and blue.

Tears I cry late at night
Just like I am right now
No longer do your arms hold me tight
Only engulfed by your words which are foul.

I think you've fallen out of love
And just to proud to admit it
We no longer fit like a hand and a glove
Not even for a minute.

I hope, I dream, I pray
For the sun to shine again
Maybe we should go our separate ways
So your joy can begin.

Too hurt to care anymore
For just another sorry
My heart walked out that open door
This load is too heavy for me to carry.

Only God can help us find our way
Should our union be in His perfect will
Always loved you since the first day
But that was when you were real.

Love doesn't seem to matter anymore
And I'm a pawn in your game
I refuse to hurt forevermore
But I'll continue to wear your last name.

You need your space
Seems like to me you need some time
Time to see if I should be replaced
While you work on earning nickel and dime.
