Are There Rules?

If I could let go of this heavy heart, the wind would lift me off my feet.
Looking for whales on a shoreline I cannot pronounce
Waiting for you to fly home from San Diego
All the wind turbines are working overtime much like me
If I could soak up the wind as they do, convert it to energy like the white tops in the sea
Age me like the sun or move me like the clouds
If I let my roots grow stronger like the grass and more sturdy like the leaves in the breeze

If I would let the wind fill me up like the sails
And pull me through like the kites
All this energy transformed

But for now I feel like the rocks
I feel one with this bench
Not like my hat that attempts to leave it's nest at every westernly gust
I feel like the baseball field yerning to be the caution sign that is bending and twisting yet firmly sunken into the same ground
More polarized, what it would feel to be the emptyiness and void of space staring back down at this atmosphere of gasses heating up and cooling down on Earth

But for now I will take it all in and remember that I AM nature
There is no looking glass
What a toxic thought to think that I am outside all of this
