It doesn't matter whether, the weather's foul or fine,
What better way to spend the day than with a rod and line,
You'll need the patience of a Saint and a wiggly worm for bait,
Then sit and stare at the float out there,

I had a little pencil with a rubber on the end,
I used it to record my score, or sometimes to amend.
But I went and stuck it in my ear and twiddled it about,
The rubber got stuck in there, the pencil was without!

Do you know how many people there are around the world?
Well, it's 7 billion - give or take a few,
So isn't it amazing we can find the very one
That makes us want to say those words, 'I Do.'
