The Run

It sounds so silly,
Its hard to ignore, so lets make believe
lets play pretend that these lovely little flaws
are just in our heads
Ignore the flaws and focus on our love
a relationship in danger
Covered, cut up and thrown to the doves
this is so awful,
I'm awfully off today
When the types of things we don't talk about
i don't waste my time this way
just close your eyes an ease your mind forget the drought
i know once i left,
i left a mark
but NO! one else
can ever give me such a friend
NO! one else can leave such a mark on such a
person as me
i let things slide
But I swore that i would shed no tears
so im dreaming of sobs
like a near image of fear
a feared image of the mirror
i cant look in my eyes without regret
but i'll treat you well
you have my heart you have my soul
and yet i cant persevere
I worry to much quite frankly
i know there's a land for me and you
but first we have to run,
we have to leave
..we have to run
we'll find our way
and you'll cry for me
then i'll cry for you
i'll say that 'this will be alright'
cause i want you to smile for me
and i hope that mean it
