Eternal Artist come and play,
it is the ending of the day,
Oh bring your pallet, bring your brush,
the day is ending at a rush.
...
I saw three Hippo-crocka-ducks a flying through the air,
Their wings were like an ephalumps, tail feathers like a bear.
They flittered in, they flittered out they hovered like a rock.
then off they flew to join the others of their flock.

African Sunset
Eternal Artist come and play,
it is the ending of the day,
Oh bring your pallet, bring your brush,
the day is ending at a rush.
We watch the eventide unfold,
You tint the clouds with burnished gold,
as here we stand and dream and think,
You touch the clouds and they turn pink.
Kaleidoscope of every hue,
cavorts across celestial blue.
The shy's a coloured ebb and flow,
where myriad shades and highlights glow.
Time passes on, the shade grow deep.
From East the reds and purples creep.
Charcoal grey and crimson hue,
at last give way to midnight blue.
This vivid rolling light display,
changing and different every day,
the Lord rolls out before our gaze,
if we take time our eyes to raise.
The constant Lord has constant been.
The daily ritual we have seen.
Again the wonder didst appear.
The sun has set on Africa.
