Carry The World
Give yourself to a world worth saving.
In a minute’s wait, species flutter to the shadows,
Killed by negligence.
Unique life, passing unnoticed.
Minutes to days, to years, forever,
Delay not a second to action,
Or let a bird’s song be its dying notes
Suffocated by the cloud of ignorance that hovers over the earth.
The wetlands dry, glaciers cool,
mountains fall, polluted pool
The ocean filled with refuse of our lives,
Ending those of its inhabitants.
