Surviving

I've been wondering
Why i'm standing here
What my purpose is, i feel like my end is near
I've been walking down this road, been doing this all on my own
I'm slowly losing my mind, been slowly losing the fight
God please I'm begging you
I'm confused and I don't know what to do
Tell me where I lie tell me where I die
I'll make it happen sooner than it was meant to be
But don't worry i know nobody will miss me

I'll be on the phone tears out my eyes
On the phone trying to say my last goodbyes
To all the people that mean the most to me
Telling them to just let me be
That this life was never good for me
Telling them I was never meant to be
I know my time is coming to a close
When you put me to rest lay my body with a rose
I'm sorry that I couldn't put up a better fight
I'm sorry but now i'm walking towards the light

Walking past the memories of the things I've done
Then slowly past the one with me holding a gun
All it took was one pull of the trigger
And to all the people who thought I could be bigger
I'm sorry that I let you all down
I'm sorry I couldn't rebound
From this funk that I'm living in
That I've let this settle deep within
Doing nothing to stop it
Digging my own pit

This light is getting brighter
And i'm feeling a little lighter
Just know i'll always be watching
You know I'll always be guiding
Just promise me one thing
You'll keep surviving
