Behind The Door

What is behind
That solid door?
Is it your fears
Or something more?

That door in your mind
A solid metaphor
It slowly eats you up
Right to the core

Take a breath
And make a leap
For whatever you sow
You eventually reap

She’s standing in front of you
You’ve loved her for years
So say the words
And let go of your fears

4 short words
That’s all you must say
Speak them loud
And then simply pray

Open that door
And let yourself free
Because she will say “yes,
It was always meant to be”
