Thomas Loves You

There once was a man named Thomas Trout
who always, always loved to shout,
'I love you! I love you, man!
Come over here, I want a friend! '

Little, old Mrs. Kay,
came shuffling along one Saturday.
Thomas said, 'I love you! I love you, man!
Come over here, I want a friend! '

When Mr. Meier went walking by,
he heard the voice of Thomas cry,
'I love you! I love you, man!
Come over here, I want a friend! '

That schizophrenic man-of-fright
would hug the air all day and night.
He did this till' the day he died -
Wednesday, August 29th.

His skeleton still stands in the same place.

The old townsfolk still like to say
to tourists who come from far away
that if you walk by Thomas Trout,
you might just hear him shout,
'I love you! I love you, man!
Come over here, I want a friend! '
