The Northern California Coastline and Redwood Forest is where my heart is at home. My body, however resides in the center of Illinois.

Sometimes reflective, sometimes observational only a certain percentage of each poem come from my own personal truth. The death of my Mother when I was 4 has greatly impacted and is the beginning of what shaped my life, good and bad. I have been married, divorced and married again. Highland

Ancient meadows, heathered and cracked
language flows over landscape
and rolls with the tides

tombstones of those who died
two hundred years and then some
reminders of the ' 45
a lone bagpipe whines

never a visit to culloden
always a rememberance
