'Tis But A Lie

I once put on a braver face,
to ask and inquire what you might-
seek, and search in endless chase.
To wander and lose yourself in night.

Woe, my answer was not spoke-
nor did you e`er look my way.
On your words you seemed to choke;
now the price you must pay.

To arms, to heart, to mind content.
I seek to conquer, so is my intent.

Should you die, from this battle of mind-
In grave with a cry, shall you find-
This malice.
This hate.
This deadly force.

`Tis but a lie that killed you of course.
