God's Little Angel

(Dedicated to Roxann Dahl )

The news was shocking and bad, my heart
was heavy and sad.
The man took her life without remorse,
with violence and force.
Tried reaching for a star, just found it
too far.
The baby was only seven, she is now in
heaven.
She's not traveling solo, God has her hand,
together they will walk the Holy Land.
Rain keeps falling, then realize it's our
tears, Pray the Dear Lord has taken
away her fears.
We lay flowers of pink on her resting
place, hope she will now lay safe.
Hope we never forget the little girl, she was
a wondrous hope for all the world!
May you rock in God's cradle, when
spring comes you will be his little angel.
