Catherine Hebert Poems

Tears flowing from his eyes,
I began to see the sadness,
As I watched the strongest man I know,
Break down and cry.

With your sexy laugh and your sexy smile,
you’d make any girl go wild.
Wishing, hoping, dreaming
that you were here with me.

Catherine Hebert Biography

I'm an English Major at the University of Louisiana. I have a short story that I wrote published in the latest edition of UL's Southwestern Review. I love to read and ride horses. I'm not too, too big on poetry. However, I do write it when I'm feeling a lot of emotions that I cannot think of any other way to express.)

It's Never Easy

Tears flowing from his eyes,
I began to see the sadness,
As I watched the strongest man I know,
Break down and cry.
It's so hard to say goodbye.

He taught me about family.
He taught me about love.
But most importantly, he taught me how to survive.

I couldn't picture life any other way,
Than with this man right by my side.

A shoulder to cry on,
A hand to hold,
The most support a girl could ever know.
These are the three things that I constantly received.
Oh, how much love I have seen.

How lucky could I be,
To know he loves me?

I wish I could take away his pain,
The hurt in his eyes.
All I can do is stand by
And let him know that I love him, too.
It's so hard to say goodbye.
But no, you're not alone.
