The Best Poem Of Celia Blake

I Am

She wears a watch that doesn't work
because it was her grandmother's,
because time both moves and
doesn't exist—
a form of timelessness.

She talks of heaven and earth
and other realms
knowing one thing for sure—
it's full of animals.

She's a little bit of everybody
she's ever loved,
her true spirit is blessed
with God's love.

She knows true love is divine
unchanging and fluid
like a still river,
a Goddess,
an ancestor,
a Druid.

Full of hope and faith,
some days weak,
some full of strength—
there are muses and music
that guide her way.

She'll read runes,
rub crystals,
and burn the sage—
she tries her best,
takes life day by day.

By magic she moves energy
and the fairies, they play—
as the trees share her love
in the forest she bathes.

Her spells involve movement
She'll dare you to dance—
she sees by feeling
and loves to laugh.

Her cat once was human,
eyes don't lie.
They talk to each other—
he stands by her side.

In motion or stillness
she goes into trance,
discovering simple things
or new worlds by chance.

Into the in-between
she sees dragons and gnomes—
she can chant a melody
and give others a know.

Prayers get answered
sometimes quiet sometimes loud.
All things connected—
she gets help from above.

When she sleeps
she dreams,
she sees truth and she flies.
She learns with her books
and when
her shadow
cries.

She pledges allegiance to the flag,
The Constitution,
the American way.

She'll listen to you,
and hear what you say;
but she thinks for herself,
in a loving way.

She practices calm,
yet passion she has—
she knows where she comes from,
who she is, what she has.

Born under the cross
through the years she has grown—
self-improvement
part of her goals.

Dancing and hugging,
sunshine and rain—
she's not perfect,
but she tries every day.

Breathing deeply,
focused on the light—
she writes this poem,
though humbled and slight.

Her heart sometimes frail,
her will is to fight—
for what she believes in,
and accepting God's flight.

There's much more to tell
she loves and she weeps,
she wants others and herself
to live
happily.

Celia Blake Quotes

You'll drown me, and I'll let you— and I'll love it— because I'm safe with you. I've felt it in my sleep when you wrapped your arms around me in a dream. —Celia Blake from Poem #17 in 'Muse'
