Who ever thought i'd be in treament?
Oh! no not me said, the cat!
Me admit i'm powerless over something!
I think not!
Because you know i'm all that.
Who's life had become unmanageable?
Oh! No!
Not mine!
Me tricking to get high, so what!
At the time my life was just fine.
Humph!
And who are these people to tell me I have to avoid old people, places and things.
Not only did they say that
They say I have to change everything!
Who change?
Not me!
I'm straight as can be!
These folks trippin'!
They trying to brainwash me!
Or so I thought.....
I began to peel back the layers of pain
All that was truly making me insane
No longer could I point a finger and blame
I held my head down in shame
My eyes filled with tears as I called on my higher power's name
Realizing the whole time, I was lame.
Lame to the fact that getting high is dumb
Lame to the fact that, that lady husband was gone make me the one!
Yeah!
I was trippin' for real!
Now!
That
I believe!
That
I can achieve!
Anything! ! !
That far exceeds my dreams!
My past is all behind me
Only a reminder
Of where I don't wanna be!
The future for me
Is as bright as can be!
As long as i'm *willing*
To stay!
