it all began when it started
i held the page upright as it was free from ink

It spins all day long
pumping the oil from beneath the surface
It never complains nor does it appreciate the task
It has no choice but to keep on spinning
...

God, I pray pleading for survival
I know that you are never late nor early but on time
How should I know if my prayers are answered Your Highness?
I’m just an empty soul waiting to depart this cruel world

My mind thinks of Africa as my home...

She sits still wondering where the hell she is going to get the next
The wind blows sweeping her hair from left to right
exposing her challenged state to withstand the raving winds;
When it rains, to her it pours shadowing her tears so they cannot see
