Gulf Of Aden

We have been gone for 6 long months
We were told to go chase pirates off the coast of Africa
What we encountered was not what we expected, not what I expected
Young, very young individuals struggling for life

Some as young as my son, for crying out loud
International community in up roar, over this
Yes, but where were they when we destroyed their way of life
Corporation ships sailing closed by fishermen nets, to cut corners, to saved money, in the end destroying fishing nets
Dumping black waters in their side of the Ocean

Holding ship for ransom is now a lucrative business
If you have the balls enough to shoot at them
To throw your ladders to the ship side
And climb on board

God, how ridiculous is this
Lawless land, driven by warlords
And we and the rest of the world, the righteous wonder why
We let this happen and continue to do so

The entrepreneur are laughing all the way to the bank
Kids are not supposed to be pirate with AK-47’s
My blood boils, I am angry thinking about it
We will be getting our medal tomorrow, for a job well done
While the young pirates continue what Black Beard started long ago…
