You'Re Only Broken

So here I sit. With nothing to lose….
Besides my faith in you…
You continue to speak..
and I continue to listen..
and as you go on I begin to see..
That something is missing….
And as you lie..
I open my eyes…
that’s when I realize.. that..

I can see that your only broken..
and as you lie and I can see how it happened…
You gave in …and let it all shatter.
When I look through your hollow eyes..
I can see back to a time when it all mattered…
You can’t fool me because I know the truth…
You can’t ignore me….
Because sadly I am you…

As you continue to tell your story…
The sickening sound of resentment ….
Continues to scream at me..
It’s the fact that you can’t hide what you really are….
And I will never be able to stray to far…
So as you look up…
As you look deep into me..
Remember…. that

I can see that your only broken..
and as you lie and I can see how it happened…
You gave in …and let it all shatter.
When I look through your hollow eyes..
