I Miss You

As I lie awake....
I listen to music that reminds me more and more of what I had and wish I still grasped..

I find myself gazing like the sunset on the ocean
looking for miles and miles wondering if I'll ever find you again..

Seems like everything I do
constantly reminds me of you..

You've impacted my life so much,
But yet I've only known you for a short few years..

I've realized that I may not be the best for you,
but I know that your the best for this uneven work in progress.

I've expressed my sorrow and apologies like a little kid, but yet I know it's not near enough to make you forgive me for what I've done and said.

If I had just one last chance
I would make sure that it would be
the best decision
that you've ever made hands down.

I know you've given me a chance before,
But you deserve everything and so much more
and I want to be that “everything” for you..

I don’t want to know that someone else is holding your hand,
laughing with you,
having an amazing time,
watching movies and cuddling,
making memories,
when it could and should be me.

Walking out of your life was the dumbest
and most regretful thing I've EVER done.
I don’t want to regret
not fighting for another chance
even if it makes me look like a fool.
I was young and dumb and so unsure of myself then
I've grown up and matured enough to know what's good for me.

YOU mean the world and so much more to me
and if there was anything I could do
there would be no hesitation in doing..
But, of course you already know all of this....
