My Sweetest Friend

How have you been, my sweetest friend.
Of moonlights so bright, they remind you of the morning star.
Only you, in full being, can eclipse my ego, and capture my spirit,
so you may bind it to my heart.

Stars will burst, moons will shatter, but our friendship will never fail.
For you and I my friend, we have no meaning to be frail.
We are young and vibrant, with spirit in our hearts and color in our hair,
yet this life, or the next, will not give us time to spare.

We live undefeated, with no reason to look back.
Yet what comes near, I fear it will never come to lack.
There is darkness in our times, friendships that shatter.
Yet yours and mine my friend, it can withstand a thousand battles.
