It was a hot summer day, a Sunday in July
She passed by aimlessly, and looked right into my eyes
Burnt a hole in my soul, and left me there in despair 
Finally the courage to approach
But I can't find her nowhere 
I've seen many, but locked eyes with few
I've seen many as beautiful
None never so enchanting, as you
Racing thoughts, will I ever again get the chance
The courage of a lion, I promise in advance
Weeks go by, no sign of her in sight
Finally you, on the arm of another man
On that cold winter night
