</>I like to go roaming At noon in the gloaming At summer time in spring With Kim while she talks I skip while she walks And hum while she’s listening. At times I’ll harrumph If she must galumph I’m light as a feather, you see But if she is not watching I may end up notching My forehead right into a tree. She’ll cry while she’s laughing Because of my gaffing Then downstairs to the attic she’ll plod She’ll be shaking her head As she climbs out of bed And asks, “Why’d I marry that clod? ” But I will be happy as she takes her nappy And a soft lullaby I will sing Though this makes no sense I’ll go back over thence And smile as she enters my dream.
