It resists when I need it foremost,
It is the thing I yearn when I awake,
I see the pride in others boast,
Without it, I will sure break.

They however won't be the last.

My Silent Voice

It resists when I need it foremost,
It is the thing I yearn when I awake,
I see the pride in others boast,
Without it, I will sure break.

Every so often people decieve me,
Taking me for a joke.
I just want them to understand,
How this treachery makes me invoke.

My mind is so full of questions,
Dreams, ideas and emotions.
But without my companion,
I'm so powerless in the world's infinite commotions.

There are others who lack a voice,
Many far more unfortunate.
So do us a favour,
Make sure your words are chosen to be appropiate.

Hearing the news, my heart's rage grows with every thought,
My mind confused between what's right and wrong,
But what's the point when my anxiety to speak up only brings distraught.

I must look up,
Keep my head in this foolish game
I may have lost my voice,
But my actions will be spoken of again and again.
