If I Die Today
If I die today I will leave so many things undone
I will condemn myself for the wasted time.
For the day of worries that I dumbly trade
for happy hours.
For the moment that I didn’t tell my wife how much I love her
instead of arguing for ordinary things.
Undone dreams that were long ago alive.
Undone goals and education bonds.
Oh if I die today, there will be nothing for me left behind
nothing of me to help the world, nothing of my part.
If I die today, it will be like anybody else dead,
like a bird, or a dog or a cat.
will the bird in the trees stop singing? or
will the people stop playing music?
I thanks thousand times to God that I am still alive
and I can so now do this things, because tomorrow
who knows tomorrow? ...
