I was born in california but was raised in Elkhart County, IN and Chicago, Il. I joined the Army in 2004 and ended my tour in the middle of 2008. I live alone in Whittier, California and have 2 beautiful baby boys.)

Despair

a lost soul roaming through life
like fog with no purpose
created an exoskeleton frame
to protect from
the reckless

theologically speaking the rapture!
capturing fear within humanity
with every reoccurring problem
I retouch the soul with
enrapture

living a lie
tongue speaking words like rubik’s cubes
…
not sure what to make of ‘em.

a knights rusty armor
surviving the battles of life soon
becomes dark and brittle.
here goes a riddle;
is it better to smile out
and cry within?
or to be seen sad when sad
and happy when happy?

purposely sappy inside but
outside’s brighter than
the third eye.

I’m tired of hiding.
moisture trickles through
my walls
who am I really?
a shadowless being
controlled by the
uncontrolled.
