You Called My Phone

You called my phone,
To tell me
' You're not alone.
The whole world shares your tears.
Some for a few nights,
And some for all their years.'

' I know the battle scars
Don't ever seem to fade.
But if you give up,
The world will turn grey. '

All I could say,
Was that I've been misplaced.
Born in the wrong time,
Put in the wrong race.

' You can deal with this pain,
You're a fighter.
You'll be alright,
Just hug your pillow tighter. '

When our call came to an end,
My heart beat began.

A few years later,
And I'm still thankful for the call.
Because of you,
I gave life my all.
