Stress!

Everything planned.
Everything prepped.
Colour coordinated,
And under no stress.

Suddenly everyone’s starting to shout:
Stop shirking!
Start working!
Stop messing about!

Come on now. Come on!
Only a few days to go!
Get off your backsides!
And quit being so slow!

Too little time!
And far too much work!
So panic and freak out!
Go completely berserk!

Now I am stressing.
I’m really quite worried.
I’ve got to stop slacking.
Though I can’t stand being hurried.

My memory’s failed me.
My work’s spread out on the floor.
I can’t find a thing.
Nor see straight anymore.
