I Dreamed

I Dreamed








A long time ago, I dreamed of a love,

A bound so great, more than anything above.

I dreamed of ending the hate, that I had inside,

Because of the world I lived in and tried to hide.

I dreamed of a friend and a lover, who would always hold my hand,

And take me for what I am.

I dreamed of children to which I would watch grow,

To not grow up the same but carry my name.

I dreamed of a family to call my own,

To protect and serve, just to give them a home.

I dreamed of a love that would always be true.

That love that I long for, where are you?
