So I opened up my heart,
And laid my feelings bare.

Old pictures in old frames,
of us and our childhood games,
old faces with no names,
and no worries in our minds.

what is love? i hear them ask,
is it warm like tea from a flask?

what is love? i hear her say,

i can be your knight in armour,
upon his faithful steed,
i can be your shield from harm or,
give when you're in need.

we walk through the sunshine,
and we run through the rain,
we laugh through the good times,
and we talk through the pain.
...

Love can give you wings so you can soar,
It can take your breathe and leave you rooted to the floor,
Love can make you smile without care,
It can gather up your fears and lay them bare,
...

I wish i'd been late for our first kiss,
Its not something I wish I had missed,
But would it hurt like this?
If we had never shared a kiss?
