not dark with a grinning killer
my poem is not a bloody

Sometimes
a seam in a rock
a movement of separation
can hold my imagination

The Datura Sea
softly waves silken trumpets
Dead sea fruits tumble in
feathery waters of white
...

My cologne
smells of
dried gum
automobile exhaust
...

Just like any other year
I feel my sap rising
as the days grow longer, looser and languid.
