Suffer Them Not

Suffer Them Not To Come Unto Me
As He spoke of His loving heaven I listened, carefully,
As He told me, “Suffer little children and forbid them not, to come unto me! ”

For love and life must walk hand and hand,
As witnessed within the tracks of lovers, walking upon the ocean’s sand!

For a child’s love is honest; and a child’s love is true.
In Christ’s hands, it’s just like an evening breeze,
fresh clean and cool!

How wonderful it would be, never to grow old,
then just to realize were all like little children,
far more precious than diamonds or gold! .

To this He said, again to unto me, and I listened, so carefully,
“Suffer them not, to come unto me! ”

As we reach up to grasp His hand.
He said to me, suffer not you little children, who walk upon the land!
For love is such in the Kingdom of God!
Where all people are guided, by His loving Rod!

For we must never forget His sweet words,
“Suffer them not, who come unto me! ”

I wondered of those little children of which He spoke,
perhaps one of them was you, or maybe one was me?
