A month and a day now, you were here
You sang a beautiful song to my ear
The song that flowed freely from your mouth
That drove my senses from North to South.
It was the cologne you wore that filled my brain
You bathe my heart with words like rain
I looked for matches to light the room
I thought it could light my mind of gloom
But there you were with eyes so beam
I was lost in love, I sang a hymn.
Your jokes took my pains away
The pains the man had left behind
On your chest, that day, I laid my mind
From your arms, I'm sure, I hit the hay.
You promised me you shall fill the space
To be by me when we started the race
You assured my heart my sorrow had gone
That all 'asunderer' shall be killed with gun.
You even ate the Kola to kill my doubt
I tore my cloth, I laid with you,
It pained all through but I didnt shout
'Cause I thought your kind of person is few
How would I know you are such a cheat!
How would I know you've come to eat!
How would I know you are such a beast!
When your tongue was so sweet like priest
Okete you are; A betrayer!
But never you come to me again, I pray ya.
