'The color of my skin doesn't define me'
Oh, but it does
Defines whether you get that job or not
If you're followed through the store
If you're thought to be a player the equivalent to a female whore
If you'll go to jail or not
If you'll pass the 12 grade
how high you rise in ranks
How big your pay grade
how you're visually portrayed
If you live past 25
Cuz everyday for a young black male is a fight to stay alive
Your color does define you, but much more than they say
Your color's made you stronger
More tolerant than the rest
