The Train Came Rumbling Down

As Jim walked upon the road
As Jim walked and gently strode
He saw a river to wash his face
Then he left without a trace

When he arose, he heard a sound
A sound of pain, a bitter round
He saw his mother in her place
He saw his mother's death stricken face

Refrain
Oh the train's a coming
Catch it if you can
The love that Jim had searched for
He was only just a man

The last he saw of his mother's hand
Was as he put her beneath the land
The wind blew quiet for some time
Until in Jim death did chime

As the train came as it always ...
