It was bloody battle
I still hear the cry, s
See the faces of my buddies
Write letters to their wifes
...

As I look into your eyes
Through the window of your soul

I see a butterfly
...

As I sit and ponder
Our lives now past

I fell a sense of sadness

Battle Cry, S

It was bloody battle
I still hear the cry, s
See the faces of my buddies
Write letters to their wifes
We were a band of brothers
That tried to make a stand
For the honor of our county
And our fellow man
Ten to one outnumbered
Most surely going to die
But we were soldiers
So we had to try
Guns started blazing
Fire in the sky
Sounds of thunder
As the soldiers die
Early in the morning
Just before the dawn
My mouth stretched open
With a tired yawn
My eyes were stinging
From the dirt and the tears
My heart is beating
From adrenalin and fear
My ears are ringing
From the thunder of the guns
I remember thinking
That we must have won
The soldiers gave their lives that day
One for the other now they live inside of me
My band of brothers
When in life the sacrifice
Isn't worth the gain
Is when the treasures
We seek and die to keep
Can, t take away the pain
