Breathe deep and long

The full flavored fine wine days
of thick air and citronella

Dancing diamonds floating
beneath the dragonfly

Light feet jumping threw, over, around
tipid water, grass and gravel

Nymph laughter falls between
the stillness of moments

The Ice tinkling between
wet lips and gossip

Dogs barking, cicada singing,
fires snapping, beer cans popping
field-ripened drips from chins and lips

The priceless gold glow on
bare backs and shoulders

Look up to the blue-orange god
The soul knows summer ending is near
breathes deep, heavy and sighs
