What Is In It For Me?
The altar which man plastered
With wrath and stones
And disguise and tools,
Wherein love once resided:
The off beam which man believes in.
All have lost its lure and fame
The glory and clout all well lost
Never to be improved
To breed the seeds of glory.
All in disguise faces though forged
Minds in disguise inflated in beam
naive doth falls prey; the pity
Never to relive the tribute
Of the past which to behold close
Life in lexis so sweet it seems
To realize only later the import
But all well lost forever.
None to blame and end up in torment
Enduring the acidic sweetness of time
With a single arch in the lips
With the curving of the lips
The innocent now turned a prey
With the cemented altar perceive life
subsist with a mind of stones
And visage of disguise.
What is in it for me screams all
Never to part with precious ruby
Nor with the sapphires of uncertain life
Long elapsed Happy Prince and the Swallow
What is in it for me croaks all.
