The City Of Roses
Awake. Still sleeping, but very much awake.
Listen to the wind fly across this land
as it takes a simple breathe of relief.
Everyone's at peace with each other.
No war, no suffering.
There's even no more struggling to pay the bill,
surviving to make end's meet.
This is the time we've all wanted.
And so even now, as the city is in ruins,
And the people sent on to live another life,
rose petals fly their way across this destroyed city.
I've given it a name to remember it by, before I leave this place, completely.
I call it 'The City of Roses'.
