Finding Peace

I hide this pain on my face
With a smile hoping thigs
Will be okay

I wear this smile on my face
To hide the true emotions
That I feel

I do my best to be strong for
Those who can no longer do it themselevs

I wear this smile for my family
With the hope that
They will someday be in a better place
With the hope that one day
We will be free from racial
Tensions and inequality

I will wear this smile on my face
Until we stop killing one another

I will wear this smile until
There are no more poor people in the world
I will stay strong for families that
Lost someone at war

I hide the pain that I feel
Because we need the hope
That things will change
Until things change I'll
Wear this smile on my face
And I will keep faith
One day we will finally see
That dream too
