She's got big sad eyes
and long droopy ears
And a tail that's always waggin'.
She has her share
...
Courtin' on the old porch swing
Holdin' hands and dreamin'
On moonlit evenings in July. Futures planned and empires built
Sittin' on the old porch swing
...
Though you weren't much for talking
Couldn't say all those pretty words
You knew I'd like you to—
I saw all the little things
...
Man's Best Friend
She's got big sad eyes
and long droopy ears
And a tail that's always waggin'.
She has her share
of ticks and fleas,
Bad breath and body odor,
But always eager to please. She loves my man
with all her heart
And I know he loves her, too.
They have such good times huntin'
or just settin' on a log.
I think I'm a little jealous
Playin' second fiddle to a dog!
