Looking up at the sky at night
I see a really breathtaking sight
Silver shining against darkest blue
There's mystery about such a hue
...

There's so much beauty in everything
If we look around and see
A flower when it opens it's petals
The curving branch on a tree.

Awesome Splendour

Looking up at the sky at night
I see a really breathtaking sight
Silver shining against darkest blue
There's mystery about such a hue
Such a wonderful beauty too.

Texture of velvet, stars diamond bright
There's strange ethereal light
Casting a reflection far and wide
Mirrored around on every side
So many miles away from earth.

How awesome the sky can be
Especially when the thunder roars
Then we think it best to stay indoors
As the jagged lightning flashes
The cold and heat clashes.

The power of God is made manifest
When we see these things happen
Man has no control and must rest
Within the will of our God of love
Who is sovereign in heaven above.
