Life gives me thorns that appear like roses;
Life gives me strife that become stepping stones;
Life turns desert reminding of Moses;
Life tempts my flesh; I love the ‘marrowed’ bones!

Just take the good in every man;
Ignore the bad things if you can;
The Lord decides each one’s life-span;
Our good / bad are weighed by His pan!

How far can lies take you in life on earth?
The more you say, the more you can't avoid;
Nor lies can give a person real mirth;
And lies once said can't become 'null and void'.

Who gave the soldier-ants their formic-sting?
So small a brain yet, intellect so vast;
To run in columns, organise and bring,
Their prey piece-meal and larvae very fast.

Who says that Keats could have writ even more,
If he were given longer lease of life?
No one can say when we exit Earth’s door;
Our performance improves with added strife.

Why lead a group of people most corrupt?
Do they deserve a righteous man as boss?
Why sermon audience that can interrupt?
Unheeding to advice good is their loss!

Though God made Eve from Adam’s rib,
To show that they were one,
Her role was prime to fill the crib,
With daughter and or son!

The God who made you has been kind to you;
Even the distant stars to Him aren’t far;
More blessings come if things aright you do;
Be happy for being the way you are!
