That a blanket of snow does cover,
While just above the cold, hard ground
A veil of clouds does hover.

Becomes a cloud filled day.
My thoughts ripple like a puddle,
While I keep on my way.

The sun goes down and the ghouls come out,
In the form of kids all running about.
Yet things have not always gone this way
On the night before All Saints' Day.

Arcane thoughts that never reach paper.
Vast worlds and epic adventures
That are imagined yet never made tangible.
A bridge of wood, half-way built,

Let's take a moment to remember and respect
Those who died, and those who still protect
A nation they love, and all of its ideals.
This is a poem for the Navy, and not just the Seals.
