Pretty Beautiful

I saw a pretty girl today she plumb bummed me out
I saw a pretty girl today and couldn't jump to shout
she drove away pretty as a bird she left without a word

I saw a pretty girl today her beauty is insulting
to this dirty ugly city her beauty is revolting
with the sun shining through her hair I pretended to not care
underneath her dress I guess her skin is bare

I saw a pretty girl today and got a little mad
I saw a pretty girl today and felt a little sad
a sad smile hiding her mad style
kept me guessing for a while
like awaiting my fate in a trial

I held hands with a pretty girl today
we took a beautiful ride
I held a pretty girl today we took our time in stride

When we closed our eyes we saw a nude sun rise
without a trial I feel I'm being tried for being a true phony
without defense testimony

I woke up with a pretty girl today and right before my eyes
she changed in to a woman with grown up sighs to size up
with all of the ties that bind from leaving her innocence behind

I laid down with a pretty girl last night
I woke up with a beautiful woman
