A Nostalgic Autumn

As if one being lifted to the infinite dark blue sky
with each step causing excruciating pain...
squeezing the pain through the layers of haze
filled with remembrance of a distant monsoon rain
Lingering rain drops
cannot quench the deep, thirsty soil

The rivers rippling in one's heart
The clouds drifting slowly in one's mind
not daring to say
that monsoon season is over

Infinite rivers
carrying teardrops to the sea
fluttering waves after waves
hastily giving solace to the sorrowful yet loving monsoon
Tidal waves - salt felt on one's lips
feels like sunniness and tastes like numbness
expanding onto the sandy beach

Under the soft sunrays
of the sunset
regretting one's youth
- days of simmering summer -
both stubborn and ergenetic!

Twilight spreading cold mists
coating the lonely roads beneath
Roofs of buildings
wearing "quai thao"(1)hats for the trees underneath
Feeling one's soul - penetrating the roofs:
a sense of a life just hatched
a nostalgic autumn
a remembrance of healing skin in summer's heat

white hairs carry the pain of time
yellow leaves carry the pain of season

breaths carries the pain of cold weather
winds carries the pain of mist

eyes carry the pain of last look
sun and moon in autumn carry the pain of nostalgia

arms carry the pain of parting arms
rivers carry the pain of dry seasons

hands are hurt by the shaking hands
branches are hurt by the falling trees

feet are hurt by the roads not yet reached
truth is hurt the harrowing harvest of life

body aches sorely with the seasons of life
soul aches under the wheel of pleasure and pain

pleasure aches with the songs of hedonism
where the theaters of life manifest

and pain itself aches with a sad Christmas song
on the Cross

One's soul aches like an epic poem
recited on the hills of Greece
spreading through time
according to the wind of life
according to the history of man
coming back to one's mind like a thundering sky
deep down of one's soul, forever
inside one's heart
inside one's body
yet hatching an evergreen song of a life of hope
surrendering all one's sad memories
as the domed sky leaping through clouds, aiming for the mysterious Universe
Forever up!

Vòi vọi trời xanh thẳm nâng lên
mỗi lần dâng mỗi lần quặn thắt.......
vắt nỗi đau qua những lớp mây mù
nặng ký ức mùa ngâu rả rích
lã chã vấn vương
chưa nguôi lệ sầu lòng đất sũng

Dòng sông gợn sóng đến gai lòng
Níu mây trôi ngập ngừng
Không dám buông lời nói
về những cơn mưa mùa hạ đã qua rồi

Muôn dòng sông
thả những khúc sầu ra biển
xao xuyến xô lớp lớp sóng cồn
dồn dập vỗ buồn mê mùa gió chướng
thủy triều tê lưỡi sóng
nếm vị nắng u hoài
bò loang bờ cát mặn

những sợi sáng se dìu dịu
của mặt trời u uẩn
nuối tiếc tuổi thanh xuân
ngày nào chang chang mùa hạ
ngổ ngáo sao và mãnh liệt sao

Hoàng hôn rải lớp sương lành lạnh
nhuốm con đường đất thịt cô đơn
những mái nhà trắc ẩn nhô lên
đội nón quai thao cho những vòm cây hiền hậu
da diết tâm hồn rách dọc mái nhà
một ý nghĩa cuộc đời vừa nứt
man mác mùa thu
man mác lớp da non cơn đau mùa hạ

Mái tóc đau màu trắng thời gian
những chiếc lá đau mùa vàng năm tháng

Hơi thở đau khí trời se lạnh
Gió heo may đau làn sương tê tái

Ánh mắt đau cái nhìn giã biệt
nhật - nguyệt mùa thu đau trời hoài niệm

Cánh tay đau những vòng tay dứt
những dòng sông đau mùa nước cạn

Bàn tay đau những bắt tay
Cành cây đau mùa lá rụng

Bàn chân đau những chặng đường chưa tới
Và chân lý hằng đau mùa gặt...

Cơ thể đau mùa sống
Tâm hồn đau mùa luân chuyển khoái lạc và đau khổ

Khoái lạc đau khúc hoan ca
Nơi sân khấu mỏi mòn

Và đau khổ đau những thánh ca buồn
Trên thập giá cưu mang

Linh hồn ta đau khúc bi hùng
Ca trên những ngọn đồi Hy Lạp
Theo mây thời gian tỏa
Theo gió đời lan
Theo lịch sử khơi dòng
về đây cuốn lên một vòm trời hoài niệm
khơi thẳm mãi hồn ta
mãi tim ta
mãi thân ta
một khúc ca xanh về cuộc đời hy vọng
dâng tràn mọi ký ức u buồn
như vòm trời thu vọt qua những tầng mây ngâu lã chã
mãi mãi dâng lên!
