Now There Is Nothing Mighty About 'Blighty'

Decay now festers at an alarming rate
as my once great country,
forgot to shut that ever-open gate.
Borders and boundaries open to all
as society slides into frightening free fall.
The leaders 'manage' with a shaky hand,
'trembling blind', their heads in the sand.
First homes' are out of the reach
of the young and in love.
Fuel prices rocket to the moon... and above.
We are fighting wars on several fronts,
led by those war-hungry 'cousins of grunts'.

When will we learn the 'great lessons' of life,
that strife... only leads to the paths of revenge?

Now we face the greatest battle of all
as America chooses a new leader to call,
the 'shots' of tomorrow, on a new
'liquid-black-rich'... foreign soil...

as another country, they select to spoil.
