Lining up on the way to the subway
I pass crowds of thousands of faces
Each one unique, each one rare
And as cold as the glaciers and the cruel North Wind

What the hell did I do
To cause you to act this way?
What the hell did I say?
To make you walk by like you don't even know me?

Sitting in a classroom
Wondering what is true, struggling with all my might
The past swirls around me, my pen is a broom
Sweeping up the dust and cobwebs I begin to write
...

Don't talk to me, you aren't my type
Prince of teenage society
I never understood all the hype
Of the gang of fake friends called popularity
...

You run around the classroom
Filled with innocence and love
My love for you has grown and bloomed
You have no idea how wonderful you are
...

My heart has broken
It lays on the floor
What (do you say) happened
To make the sweet tears pour?

Not really sure how to expain this
I'm a poet with no words
I feel like I'm about to lose it
This feeling is absurd

Is there anybody out there?
Am I destined to live this life alone?
To always feel pain to always suffer?
To relive the sin to constantly atone?

I barely even knew you
Just remember the florescent orange cruising down the hall
Your soft voice in the classroom and the odd comment about you
You mean absolutley nothing to me
