Look deep in the hart of a lily,
Down the long, long corridor of time
And see the cross of our Savior
And the light hovering round it sublime!
...

As I was walking through my bible one early
morning hour My Jesus was beside me and I could feel
His power He spoke to me of many things as we did
walking go And I'll share with you some things He said—
...

I sit in the pew as communion is served
and humbly bow my head.
The glass in my hand holds the fruit of
the vine signifying the blood he shed.

Look deep in the hart of a lily,
Down the long, long corridor of time
And see the cross of our Savior
And the light hovering round it sublime!
Don't stop from your gazing, or falter,
For seeing that cross in its light—
A name can be seen when you find yourself at its foot
And you want to take flight—
For the name written there is your name and mine! Then as you gaze it fades slowly away—
And the KING OF THE JEWS is written there
And you know as you look that HIS promise
HE kept
And safe and secure you can be— For the empty tomb proves that Christ Jesus arose
And death no more has its sting—
And we who believe will like HIM someday be
And live on eternally!
