Another year added to date, of technology and prospect to come of late.
The futures bright or so they say but who are they to have this say?
...
Sleep, slept, dream, dreamt, awoke, wept, thought, slept.
Shut eyes, thought, pondered more, dream again, fall on the floor.
Back in bed, scratch my head, shut my eyes, feel like I'm dead.
Awake again, wash rinse repeat, go to work, work then eat.

A bleary night of sand and fright a desert night be full of fright.
A soldier stares with eyes of old a young heart beats with memories scold.
Too many friends have seen the light, the light of plight, it ends their life.
He knows the way with enemies running, when bullets start coming the fear is rumbling.

2 many wars,0 years of peace,1 world in agony it isn't 3ree.
I beg of thee to raise a glass and forget the future to remember the past.
Remember the times of old and gay, the times that were bright, or so they say.
The times that seem to be free not mean,
I don't see free in 2013.
